Prone inclined barbell face pull – the inclined bench will provide stabilization on the torso to isolate the posterior deltoids. The bar path starts in the hanging position towards my throat while my elbows aim for my ears as I go up. By not shrugging, I isolate the deltoids. A variation is to shrug first, pause then raise the bar. This hits both the trapezius and the deltoid muscle groups.
