Jan and his teammates took over DEFTAC Davao, a jiujitsu gym in Davao on 2015 primarily from sheer passion of the art. It has been open since until the recent Covid-19 epidemic. We talked about his beginnings, the progression from being just a student to becoming an athlete and a mentor. Jan discussed how the virus affected his gym and his plans as to keeping it safe for the members as soon as the local government allows them to reopen.
