Isolated leg press with 30-40 degrees hip internal rotation(as long as the hip and knee are comfortable during the eccentric phase). I like to do this exercise on the leg press machine because it’s quite tricky, less active as a whole and unstable with other set-ups(smith’s/leg extension machine). Here, the lower back and glutes are more stable and the vastus lateralis are both activated on the origin(hip) and insertion(knee) since it passes both joints, unlike vastus medialis(inner quads), just passing the knee joint responding more to knee extension movements to isolate. I would stabilize my back more to improve on my form next time or drop the weight a little to avoid compensation. This was my last exercise just for the burn hence the tempo, otherwise l would slow down(4 seconds) during the eccentric phase and hold for 2 seconds at the bottom before exploding back up for another squeeze (2 seconds). I did 5×10 for this exercise on a fine leg day(quad dominant). I am now 170lbs starting on a 6 week cut. #kilosdavao #afabreeza #12/2018 #fitness #enovus #davaocity
