Inclined Bench Hyperextensions to Hanging Leg Curls – Due to the lack of reverse hyperextension machines in most gyms. I utilized the inclined bench to perform this routine. Place enough load (dumbbell/plate) on the seat of the inclined bench to counteract the weight of the rest of the body. This will avoid the bench from tipping. The torso properly stabilized on the bench, both hands are anchored with legs straight, feet together. I bring both legs up slowly separating them to form a āVā pattern. A variation is to rotate the legs internally or externally as you go. After 10 reps, I hold my position on top, this time simultaneously isometrically contracting the glutes and lower back. I proceed to perform leg curls for 5 reps with the entire leg hanging to finish the set.
