ELDERLY/PWD HOME EXERCISES PROGRAM(COVID 19): DAY TWENTY FOUR –


     As requested by an old friend who drives for a living. This one is for you and to all the drivers out there sacrificing their own safety to keep everything moving despite this adversity. Thank you and keep safe!

Key points: make sure you are parked before you do the exercises. The goal of the routine is to relieve stress on the back and neck, remember to engage them when performing the exercises. Adjust your setting(sit height, depth, stirring wheel) if necessary to accommodate your comfort.

     We suggest guidance and assistance from family members and caregivers for clarity and safety.

     Home exercises will be muscle group specific on each upload to allow recovery of other areas. Key is to choose 4-5 exercises at random for a specific muscle group and perform them to tolerance level as to sets, repetitions and pauses. Be mindful of the form, stabilization and make sure to engage the muscle you are working on.
