ELDERLY/PWD HOME EXERCISES PROGRAM(COVID 19): DAY THREE-SHOULDERS


     To our beloved elders and persons with disabilities: Did you move some today? The day is not over yet, let’s get you moving! Or as we say it, KILOS!!!! •

     Everything is quiet at the studio today. We miss the sounds of exercise equipments being used, the counting out-loud, the laughter and sometimes the cries of pain in an effort to achieve some goals. The beloved coffee pot is turned off and most of the lights. The usual ‘chill’ music from the tv is off too. It’s quiet, it is sad. I founded Kilos Davao with two main goals: to treat and train people who wanted change, and to treat myself of depression. To achieve the latter is to effectively perform the first goal. I must admit, not being able to reach all of you means breaking down on my part. I pray for the conclusion of this crisis so we can all heal. Please accept our gift.

We suggest guidance and assistance from family members and caregivers for clarity and safety. 

Home exercises will be muscle group specific on each upload to allow recovery of other areas. Key is to choose 4-5 exercises at random for a specific muscle group and perform them to tolerance level as to sets, repetitions and pauses. Be mindful of the form, stabilization and make sure to engage the muscle you are working on.
