Dumbbell Hamstring Curl:

Difficult exercise to do compared to performing lying leg curl on a machine considering the leverage being transferred from the calves/ankles to the mid foot. Another is the elimination of the gastrocnemius as a synergist to leg curl because it has to contract in plantar flexion to hold the dumbbell in place. Lastly, the orientation of the bench even at the slightest degree just above the horizontal would challenge the hamstrings against gravity. Don’t worry, I know I still have to work on keeping my hips stable on the bench the whole time on this one. I will work on my form and hopefully share my progress in the near future.
