I started in a place like this, no memberships, dress codes even shoes. Just make shift equipments, irregular and rusty. Plain old-fashioned and fun-loving folks ball busting each other while lifting dangerously heavy weights. I like commercial gyms for the convenience. But I go to hard core gyms like this for the nostalgia and to break rules. Gains do not depend on the ‘where’ for me, it has always been on the ‘how’. You can take my belief with a grain of salt, but the champions that we look up to from the golden era of body building would say the same.
